My part of the project

I am adressing information on the work of Chermayeff and Geismar. I am also putting the power point together.

They designed the logo for Mobil and then built the identification program for the company around the logo. I think that the logo works well because of the color choices and the simplicity – having the o be emphasized by the red color choose was a good idea. It has been used now for 35 years.

Keys 101

I have decided to do my symbol book on Keys. I have always loved the ways keys look and what they represent so I thought it would be great to use them in a project. And yes. I looked up the Tiffany keys and they have some very beautiful designs. The design in the middle of my key was a real pain but I think I am satisfied with it now.

The Difference Between Cliche, Sign, and Symbol

*A sign is "something that stands for something else" which would be like umbrella to mean rain or weather.

*A symbol is "something that represents something else by association, resemblance, or convention." This would be like Tinker Bell's outline representing Disney.

*A cliche is something that has been used so often that it loses it relevance or people simply don't like it anymore. A heart means love would be an example of this.
